Haviland Storage Services announced today that it is joining forces with Lighthouse Storage Solutions to further strengthen the operational support provided to its third-party managed self-storage facilities. As part of this collaboration, Melissa Huff, self-storage consultant with Lighthouse Storage Solutions, will join Sue Haviland and the Haviland Storage Services team beginning February 1, 2026. This strategic partnership brings additional depth in operations, training, and consulting to Haviland’s managed portfolio of almost a dozen properties.

“This opportunity allows us to bring even more operational insight and hands-on support to the facilities we serve,” said Sue Haviland, Founder of Haviland Storage Services. “Melissa’s experience across multiple markets and her passion for operational excellence align perfectly with our mission to provide best-in-class third-party management. We are excited to welcome her as a consultant working alongside our team.” Melissa Huff added, “Joining forces with Sue and Haviland Storage Services is an exciting next step and certainly brings things full circle for me. My early education in this industry was largely based on Sue’s teaching. She has built an outstanding reputation in this industry, and I’m looking forward to working closely with her team to help owners and managers elevate their operations and achieve even stronger results.”

Sue Haviland founded Haviland Storage Services in 2009 and brings 37 years of self-storage experience, including senior leadership roles as Vice President of Operations for both Price Self Storage and Extra Space Storage. With 17 years of industry experience, Melissa Huff progressed from on-site management to leadership roles within a growing third-party management company. She now co-owns Lighthouse Storage Solutions with her husband Josh where she consults with owners nationwide. Haviland Storage Services will continue to deliver top-tier third-party management services, now enhanced by expanded operational consulting and training resources.
